    Newbie Issues

    Just installed trial version
After ripping directly into mp3 format, certian tracks have the following issues.
    DSP items added in order

    HDCD standard preset
Have Graphic EQ set at "rock"
    RG Replay Gain standard preset

    1) silent gaps during playback of song 2-4 times per track that maybe 10min in lenght.
    2) certian tracks mid high frequncy seems to have distortion, using Grado 325 phones and Jbl phones same issue also tried different mp3 players ( same tracks) also ran thru HI-FI same issues
    3) have a LG DVDRAM GH20LS10 if i enable c2 error corection 90% ripping fails, remove this and only about 10% fail.

    Any help would be apprciated.

Your EQ settings are likely the cause of the issue, if the settings are that any frequency is boosted.

    1. How big are the silence blocks? are you ripping to the Secure method?

      Re: Newbie Issues

Thank You for the quicl reply, yes I have adjusted some of the preset settings the 1k pushed it up just a bit, but then brought it back down.

Also I am ripping in secure mode with C2 enabled, as soon as I remove the C2 I get better ripping (less silence) the silence blocks appear to be around 2-3 seconds.

One other question, after deleting a album from the system, and if I put back the same cd, the previous data shows up IE: crc, secure etc. where are these files kept so I can erase them?

      Thank You.

It is kept in a small cache (only the last 4-5 discs are remembered).

Make sure you do >> not << have the option to Interplote on Error selected.

ve checked for do >> not << have the option to Interplote on Error selected
this is not "ON" also i have lowered the settings in LAME to preset extreme. Seems to be working better, will rip some tomight and give results.

          Another question.

Can you add thrid part "A0 Parametric Equalizer" or some other eaualizer with more frequncy's? I think this may have something to do with my issues, with the slight tweek of the 1k and 2k bands the silance comes back as does the distrotion, mind I only bumped these up a fraction.
