Shorten Midi File

I have used dbpoweramp in the past to convert a .mid file to .wav file. At that time, I was able to start recording a few seconds after the music started and stop the recording before the music ended.
I now have a .mid file that I wish to edit (cut off a few seconds in the beginning and cut off a minute at the end) and can't figure how to do it. I do not want to "convert" it to another format, just shorten it. Have browsed around in the help file but not really sure what to call what I want to do. Can somebody give me instructions?

dMC can only covert midi to another format, as it only has a decoder and not an encoder. Try to find a program that is a "midi editor" or something similar.
