    Single channel audio

    Hi guys.

I've had a scan through the forums, but don't think anyone else has asked this question yet.

What I want is to be able to listen to my mp3s through a single headphone, with all the music coming through it. Normally this isn't an issue, but with a lot of music (The Beatles seems to be a good example) the lyrics come mainly out of one headphone, and the instruments through the other. I thought that maybe winamp's "force mono" feature would fix this, but apparently not.
Ideally I'd just run a program which automatically does whatever is required when playing my music, but I can't find anything (and it's more of an issue when i'm listening to my iPod, which isn't a haven for 3rd party software anyway). Failing that, I guess i'm prepared to convert all my mp3s to whatever will give me the effect i require, providing i can still listen to them on my iPod. I have two questions:

    1) Can DB PowerAmp do this?
    2) Any idea how long it'd take to convert ~30g of music?

    Thanks in advance!

    Re: Single channel audio

Use the "Channel Map" DSP effect and map both channel 1 and channel 2 to channel 1 and that should give you the desired mono effect. I would do some testing on a few known stereo files before doing your entire collection.
