I had the same problem ... you left out a bit of
trouble-shooting info: the method of payment.
I got the country problem when I specified PayPal,
but the problem didn't show up when I specified a
credit card.
SWREG is evil, plain and simple ... and their owner/alter-ego digitalriver is no better.
I actually tried reporting the problem to swreg.org via their
support pages ... ignored the first time, and hopelessly
incorrect misinformation the second time.
