Reference upgrade cost / license info

Awesome looking product. May be my next step up from EAC.

Since the reference version does not have lifetime upgrades, what is the approximate cost for a major upgrade. And while I'm on the subject of licenses, are the reference licenses per person, per PC or per OS installation?
I have two personal PCs I would probably install it on, both of which are multi-boot, and I would probably want it on at least two partition on each PC - one for Vista and one for XP. What would be my cost for such a thing?

Lastly since I rebuild my OS installations at least every 3-6 months, is there any sense in even bothering with AMG if its license is trashed by a re-install?

See the FAQ section (of this forum) about reinstalling AMG.

Licences are with one on multi pcs, for non-commercial if more than one copy is not used at once.

    Upgrages would be around $12

You can set your system date back to when when AMG was purchased, install AMG, then change the system date back to normal and get the remaining part of your year.

Sweet. One fee for all my PCs (for my use only) is a great deal at $28 (I'm not a commercial :smile2: ) - I really like that licensing model, Win Patrol does the same, which is why I also bought that. If for no other reason than to access the extra meta-data obtained from a rip I'd want it on all my personal PCs. And $12 is a more than fair upgrade price.

This is the product I always hoped EAC would turn into. It was a shame he never made it commercial. You have loads of features I never would have thought of that make this just about perfect for me. Look for my cash soon.

And thanks for the AMG tip. I've been using AMG for many many years, both online and offline (I actually own several of their books), but I always had to hand enter the data. Yeah, I used freedb & cddb too, but found them lacking and erroneous too often.

I look forward to you getting everything working in Vista, but I need to start ripping again soon (I've got thousands of CDs left to rip), so I'll just use XP for now.

        Thanks again.
