Burning FLAC files to DVD

I just completed ripping my CD collection to FLAC and have started to burn these files to DVD-R media for archiving. Since all my rips are secure, how secure is the process of burning these files to DVD? Can it depend on the software used to burn the files?

Use the verify option of your writing program, data cds tnd to be very secure.
