Hi Was directed here to check out ripping errors and ripping hardware; specifically to http://www.dbpoweramp.com/secure-ripper.htm
I am getting too many errors when ripping discs that look in very good order, using my Dell laptop. I want to rip my CD library and use Slim Devices gear to stream from a hard disk i.e. no more CD player.
It seems I need a really good CD driver (I have access to a PC). Am using EAC and AccurateRip but perhaps should also try dBpoweramp once I have got a good CD ripper. Refering to http://www.dbpoweramp.com/secure-ripper.htm[/url], Plextor 708A looks the obvious choice since Plextor - PX230a is 400+ euro. But the 708 seems rather old now and I have not been able to locate it for sale here using Google.
Would appreciate advice on replacement that is currently available.
