    Compressed MP3 files

I converted with dBpoweramp a wav file of 56.2 MB to MP3 CBR Bit rate 128.

I noticed, that no matter which "Encoding" option I choose (i.e. whether Normal, Fast (Low Quality) or Slow (High Quality) ) the size of the MP3 is the same ( 5.3 MB).
Likewise, the size of the MP3 doesn't change even if I cklick on "Advanced' and change the Frequency and Channels.

Is this normal ? And if the answer is : Yes , what for are the above mentioned options ?

    Thanks in advance

    Re: Compressed MP3 files

The size of an mp3 is govenred 100% by the bitrate, but within those constraints you can have different frequencies, channels and qualities.

I believe the Encoding option only affects the outcome when you are encoding to VBR and probably ABR.
