FLAC to mp3 vbr

Hello, i have a question i got some flac albums what is a good compression for my portable mp3 player vbr 192 or vbr 256 (mainly metal/rock albums)

I would suggest rying both and seeing if you note any difference. Theoretically, vbr 256 will be better (more faithful to the source) than vbr 192 but I doubt that you will notice any difference on your mp3 player. And, if you can't/don't note a difference, 192 would be better (by virtue of smaller file size). For my portable iRiver H10 mp3 player or when making mp3 disks for my car mp3 player, I tend to use mp3 Lame standard vbr pre-set which seems to lie a little above 192 kbs.
