    Need Some SAVVY SOUND ADVICE...

ok, here's the question. I'm building a new system and sweet tunes are something I value greatly. I want to know what some great options are for getting my system playing some really decent music. I'm only talking MP3's here so I'm really looking for hardware advice. I can spend about $400. I"m just not sure if I'm going to just need speakers or if I'll need a sound card too. I hope someone can help me out here and let me know what is going to sound good. I will play the very odd game and eventually watch some movies with the speakers too so they need to be 5.1. thanks.

    Asus P5B
    1GB Corsair 5400

These are still changeable. I was thinking of getting Logitech Z5500's.

Onboard sound will be fine, but I recommend a Creative Labs card, either an Audigy or the X-Fi Music (about $100). Also, what about the Logitech X-530. I use these speakers on my computer and they sound great.
