Can't recover password for my user name

I had to re-register with the site under a new name and email address. How do I recover my previous one? I enter my e-mail address but never receive an email.

i am not so sure email sending is even working on this forum anymore.

It just seems odd because the option is there, but doesn't really seem to do anything. It also prevents me from re-registering with the same email address.
