i love this software and today i bought it. now i have got a litte question and please dont hit me :komisch9: i got mail from swreg and take the link inside it to download the registration version 11.5.

the question is about the this link http://www.dbpoweramp.com/registration/

after wanted to try the "To begin: Initiate Registered Link Retrieval" link i only got an empty internet explorer 6 or opera 9 beta window.

so please help me so that i can update the next coming versions for easy is there a release date planed for the 12er?

In the first 2 weeks you download from the link in the email not http://www.dbpoweramp.com/registration/.

Certain firewalls block http://www.dbpoweramp.com/registration/ from working.

OK, it's your firewall that's blocking you most likely, or the hosts file on your pc.

Disable or exit your firewall and try to get that link again. For Norton Security Suite you have to actually exit it, not just disable it.

Also find the file called simply hosts, open it in Notepad and see if it's not blocking the swreg site. If so delete that line.

sorry but i dont use a firewall or a host file. i have done today a clear installation of my win xp pc.

yes i have unterstand that i can load for 2 weeks but is it necessary to register? i think yes because so i can get future updates or not

Registration means you purchased either dMC, Sveta, dCW, or some combination. Doing this gives you a registered version. There are no additional steps required.

Now, to solve your problem: Can you access the page from a different computer? It works just fine for me.

I think your browser is misconfigured. Check the encoding used.

And all widnows installations has a fiel called hosts. You don't have to use it yoruself, the browsers use it. Anti spywarwe programs sometimes make changes to it without you knowing it. As does some spyware.

XP has a build in firewall which is usuallly on by default unless you actually disable it.

i have tried 3 different pcs now and no one can show me the site. it was empty. no pc has got a firewall and the host file from windows is empty. tried the ie 6 or the opera. can someone make a screen that i can believe

I've accessed the page before from my public library here in San Diego, California and in the comfort of my own home. Both have firewalls, yet I don't have issues.

I have tried the same link poster and my computer shaows an empty site.
Perhaps the site has a trojan?

It works for me on two computers, it works for neil on a computer that isn't even his, and works for many other people. It sounds like there is a configuration problem or a program interfering with your viewing the site. Turn off and exit your firewall and try again. Mabye try a different browser such as Mozilla Firefox (http://www.mozilla.com) or Opera (http://www.opera.com/) and see if it works then.

i dont use a firewall and have tried firefox or opera as well. i am from germany. maybe this is the reason why it does not work.

Please continue going through all your security and privacy settings.

A firewall comes with Windows XP by default. Unless you have specifically disabled it, it is on automatically.

Check that you are absolutely not blocking anything - for instance cookies (including third party cookies).

Also lately there has been a new product released by Microsoft that adds more security yet - an anti spyware tool (I forget the name). You may have installed that.

Make sure your browser is not blocking referrers or going through an anonymizer proxy - that may well be blocked by the site since they need to be able to track the user.
