    Call me

I ordered a DBpowerAMP Music Converter by mistake once. That was 6 month ago. I was told that if I didn't payed there would be no further request for payment. Now I have started getting phone calls, phone calls with a secret number (It doesn't show the number except: Secret Number). I'm starting to believe that they are trying to contact me about the order, but they can't reach me. I live in Sweden. Every time I answer there's no one there. Maybe it is because the distance or something else.

I was just thinking. Is this possible? Or is there just someone that is playing a trick on me?

I don't believe this is related to you accidentaly ordering dMC. It sounds like someone is playing a trick on you.

      Re: Call me

      Nothing to do with dBpowerAMP.

Those calls are a known con-trick, they try to get you to press a button on the phone then you are connected to an international premimum rate number, expect a big bill if you press a button...

Is it. If I press let's say button 5 when I Answer. I get a big bill. Is there any way to avoid them?

          Don't answer, don't press anything.

There is no reason anybody would ask you to press any button when they call you.

Complain to your telephone company and give them precise details of when it happened.

Don't you think this will end after a while, or is this permanent? And how did they get my phone number? :vmad:

              Re: Call me

No idea. I assume you're listed in a phone book locally. Get you number changed and unlisted if you can't solve it otherwise.

File charges with your local police if worried and if the phone company will not cooperate.

In any case, this has nothing to do with dBpowerAMP.

Follow Chrstina's advice of contacting the proper authorities, and also try blacklisting that phone number if possible...(Do you live in the US?)
