Python scripts in "Run External Scripts" DSP?

Is it possible to run a python script via this DSP? Do I have to convert it to an executable program?

What scripting language is supported?

If you have a python script, then double clicking it actually runs an .exe and the script is passed to this exe, you have to find out which exe that is. (the same goes for Visual Basic .vbs scripts also)
