Enhanced AACPplus v2 Winamp CLI Codec

I've been trying out the new dMC v12 and noticed that my old plugin for winamp aac conversion didn't work anymore.
Therefore I've adapted the script so that it would work with v12.
The latest Winamp (Full) - without the emusic stuff - is required for this plugin.
This conversion is approx twice as fast on my machine as the m4a (nero) plugin.
So I'm really pleased I can still use it.
    Here's a link to the self-extracting exe :

(Click "Request download link" and then click "download file")
It copies the necessary Winamp dll's after unpacking.

    Kind regards,
    -Dirk-

Re: Enhanced AACPplus v2 Winamp CLI Codec

I've tried boxing it into an mp4 container with a more recent enc_aacplus.exe, but it always jams at the end of the encoding process.
    Here's what I've got so far :

When I initiate a default commandline (at the prompt) followed by --mp4box, it always works like a charm.

Any hints for the encoder.txt ?
Or for the dll maybe ?

      Try in a batch file.

        Spoon,

I do appreciate the hint, but haven't got a clue how to get this done in dMCv12.
I also haven't got a clue which dll to use.
Could you be more specific please ?

        Kind regards,
        -Dirk-

You could create a batch file ie

          a.bat in the encoder folder

pass the filename on the command line to it and use

%1 in the batch file to use the filename.

I wish it was that simple. The file is created, but without any contents.
Sorry, giving up on the mp4 container.
But I can always use the conversion aac->mp4.

Re: Enhanced AACPplus v2 Winamp CLI Codec

At mihd.net, they deleted my .exe file (Why ? Can't they hold stuff forever ? )

So I'm posting the Winamp AAC convertor plugin for dBpowerAmp 12 at my personal webspace :

A recent Winamp (Full) is required for this plugin.
After the extraction, a batchfile is launched that copies some files from the Winamp folder to the encoder folder of dBpowerAmp.
When the plugin's installed, Winamp is no longer neccesary.
This conversion is still twice as fast on my machine as the m4a (nero) plugin.
And to me, the winamp aac's are decent quality (does anybody know which encoder they use ?)
I would love to see someone with good ears compare Nero AAC's to Winamp AAC's.
I can't hear the difference, but maybe some audiophiles can...
