error message - dbMC claims files are encrypted

The following was already answered in the response to Alberto's question. So go read the answer there if you are in need.

I simply want to drop a few Windows Media Player music files onto a CD to play in my car stereo that does not read that format. I purchased the registered version of dBpowerAMP CD writer today and have had nothing but trouble. When I first ran the program, it listed my files in the "from" box, but then it asked for the codecs to be downloaded, which seemed very straight forward. Following the download, it then progressed to the following error message:

"The file C:...filename.wma is encrypted which dMC is not able to decode."

I figured I had downloaded the wrong version of codecs, and so it was. My WMP was version 9.0, and the first download on the page was for 9.1. So I thought I had it licked until I tried the CD Writer after downloading the 9.0 version of codecs. Not so - I got the same message. So now I am stuck, having exhausted the obvious routes.

    What next?
