I'm trying to do an audio cd copy exactly...where two tracks run together, the copy has an audible gap between them (shows 0.01 -0.00 before starting in the cd players text box). Is there an option to defeat this? It's possibly a hardware issue since I've had similar problems with Nero. Any help much appreciated.

dBpowerAMP CD Writer doesn't not support gapless audio CD creation. To create gapless audio CDs you need a burner that supports disk-at-once burning and dCW only supports track-at-once burning.
You will need to find some alternate cd burner software that supports disk-at-once burning.
