Why does the CD-Writer install DMC beta3 during its install?

the CD-Writer installs DMC Beta 3 during its install, overwriting the previous install of DMC. After I installed it I reinstalled DMC Beta 7 over it. Is it ok to do this?

it's probably just a case of Spoon needing to update what is packaged with dcw. as i would guess to say that dcw needed dmc beta3 at the time for it all to work but was never updated.

That is right, it will possibly be recompiled when dMC is out of beta.
