cdburner gives no metadata

I can see the metadata e.g. artist, song title, etc. on the ripper but it does not get on the burned cd, the music is there but daa is only track1, track2, etc.
What did i do wrong?

Or cd writer will not write cd text which is the only way of getting metadata on a burned cd.
