    Metadata in WAV files

Here's what I'm trying to do: Dub LPs to CDRs by ripping them to WAV files and then burning those fileds to disc. The WAV files are named "songtitle - artistname.wav." I would like to have the writer software parse the title into the appropriate CD-Text fields, so that I don't have to do it manually. When I looked on the Internet for software that would do that, nearly everyone answered "iTunes," but I'd rather do it manually than fight with iTunes again. One person, however, told me that Dbpoweramp, which I had been using for years, and registered back around 2006, would do it. I am using version 12.1 (under Win2K Pro), and I like it a lot, but it doesn't seem to believe that I'm registered for that particular function.

My questions: Is it indeed possible to add metadata to the WAV files so that the info will show up on the CDR after I burn it?

If so, and I'm really not registered for this function, can I get it for the version I'm using? (I have a Win7 computer, but running Dbpoweramp on it would require me to transport all the various program I used in the process of dubbing LPs to CDRs -- not a simple process -- and some of those programs don't work under Win7.)

If I'm screwed, I'll continue looking for software that will do what I want (and suggestions would be welcome). But I'd prefer to keep using Dbpoweramp, which, according to the About screen, I'm registered to use

    Re: Metadata in WAV files

Dbpoweramp cannot write cd-text, and other burning programs cannot read wave Id tags
