Can't startup CD Writer: "Requires Music Converter R13 Reference or Newer"

Hi,
I just licensed dBpoweramp converter R13 and installed it and CD Writer (that came with the registration) on a Win 7 Professional x64 quad-core notebook. dBpoweramp runs ok but when I try to startup CDWriter I get this popup error:
Requires Music Converter R13 Reference or Newer
I installed both programs in non-default locations:
P:\Tools\dBpoweramp
P:\Tools\dBpoweramp\CD Writer

I also got the same error when CDWriter was installed as P:\Tools\CD Writer. I have set the CDWriter compatibility to run in XP SP3 mode but it makes no difference.

How do I fix this? I saw a 2008 thread in this forum with this same error message but my circumstances would seem to be different. I never ran any version of dbPowerAmp before and installed both programs for the very first time.

CD Writer would have to be installed to the same folder as dmc.
