This is a different issue but still related to Windows 7 64-bit.
I have an almost new PC with multi-boot with Vista 64-bit Ultimate and Windows 7 64-bit Ultimate with 3 optical drives (only one is external).
The problem is that your CD writer sees all 3 optical drives when I am booted under Vista-64, but does not see any of the three drives under Windows 7.
In both operating systems, NERO sees the drives as well as Winamp.
To complete the experiment, I have a 2-week old HP Pavilion laptop Quad Edition (dv6t) with 6GB of DDR3 RAM and the new Core i7-720QM Processor. It came with 64-bit Windows 7 Professional and also CD writer cannot see any of the two optical drives connected (one external). Again, Winamp and NERO see them.
So it's Windows 7 related. Is there an upcoming release that will be supported by Windows 7 64-bit?
Thanks
