CD Writer and Windows 7
September 01, 2009, 04:34 AM
On both of my computers running Windows 7 CD Writer fails to find my CD/DVD burners. CD ripping is unaffected.

Re: CD Writer and Windows 7
Same problem here
Windows 7 RTM 64bits - 3 writers :
- Plextor Plexwriter Premium firmware 1.06 on IDE
- Asus DRW-22B1LT firmware 1.00 on sata
- BlueRay LG : BD-RE GGW-H20L firmware YL05 on sata
no drive found with CD Writer.
Never tried your softwares with other operating systems. Then, I don't know if it's relative to 7.
What a problem, cause I would buy your products...

Re: CD Writer and Windows 7
Looks to be a problem with the core CD writing software, as Spoon mentioned here:

Re: CD Writer and Windows 7
A post a little ways down mentioned right-clicking the program icon, choosing the Compatibility tab, and selecting Vista SP2. Seems to work.

Changing to Vista SP2 compatibility mode worked for me too.
