only 1 of 2 dvd-writers drive is allowed to write
Hello,
is anyone out there familiar with and knows the reason to my probelm ? would really appreciate any effective help.
i have 2 Lite-On DVD-RW internal writers that were installed and using fine, until soemwhere along the line, on 1 fine day rebooting the pc, something like this became the way of life.
Situation 1: only 1 of the 2 DVD-writers is allowed by Windows Xp (sp2) to write, NOT both anymore
Situation 2: some CDs/DVDs that can be read by 1 drive, the other will say No disc inserted or something to the same effect of finding nothing readable in it.
anyone knows why and where i can set this back to normal such that both are allowed to write ?
i tried My Computer -> Right-click the DVD-RW drive icon -> Proeprties -> Recording tab -> checked ENABLE CD RECORDING ON THS DRIVE -> Apply and OK. And when I tried to do this for BOTH Lite-ON drives, the 1st one will inevitably automatically Un-Check itself of the box of ENABLE CD RECORDING ON THS DRIVE , becoming ONLY one of the 2 DVD writer drives is CHECKED and the other Un-CHECKED.
Why ? does anyone know what's going on..?
I have even updated to SP3. Same as same, no change..
