    CD Writer and dBPA Version

First, I would like to thank you, Spoon, for creating such an excellent audio encoding tool in dbPowerAmp. I have been using it for over a year now and I have been consistenly impressed with the simplicity and quality of the software. I was happy to register the Power Pack to help support your programming efforts.

I am considering trying out the CD Writer application you have developed because I have switched to using Ogg Vorbis files in place of MP3s and my current CD writing program only supports MPs and WMAs. I noticed that it comes with a beta of the next version of dbPowerAmp. My question is whether it is required that you install and/or run this beta version to use the CD writer. I use dBPowerAmp heavily and I do not wish to switch to a beta version as my current setup works perfectly.

    Thanks in advance!

The beta version is required, but don't let that put you off for the beta of dMC currently very stable (mostly bug fixes, getting quite close to release), there is one experimental feature 'AccurateRip', but it will not even activate unless the database is installed. I think you will be ok.
