    Download/Register Question

    I have the registered version of dbPoweramp (R13). I originally purchased this several years ago. I have never downloaded or used CD Writer, but would like to do so now. However, I'm confused because I don;t have CD Writer after upgrading and installing R13.

    On the registration page there is no separate option shown for CD Writer; it shows as included with R13. Please help, what do I need to do?

    Re: Download/Register Question

    If you are using the PowerPack, which is sounds like you are, you need to purchase the upgrade to r13 Reference and the CD Writer is included with Reference.

    From the Registration page:
    dBpoweramp Reference R13 $36 includes:

    * 1 year PerfectMeta access, includes AMG, GD3 & MusicBrainz (active from day of purchase)
    * Power Pack & mp3 License
    * Free minor version upgrades.
    * CD Writer burn Audio CDs (optional download)
    * Batch Ripper rip 100's of CDs with ease (optional download).

      Well I don't see how to do that. Following the instructions to upgrade takes me to a page to simply re-download what I already have, R13. There is no option to "purchase the upgrade" as you say.

      This is what is on the upgrade page, following the upgrade link from the registration page:

      To upgrade your existing Power Pack to dBpoweramp Reference follow these steps:

      1. Visit the registration retrieval page, type the order number for your existing Power Pack purchase:

      2. Beneath the download link for Power Pack you will find an upgrade link, click it to upgrade.

      These are the steps that simply lead me to the version I already have, R13 w/o the CD Writer.

        Go to dBpoweramp Configuration, what version of dMC does it say you're running?

          Download CD Writer:

          (the trial) and it will auto-register because you have reference.

              Re: Download/Register Question

              I went back and re-tried the entire process and finally found the option to upgrade. I just couldn't find that before and was clicking the wrong thing and re-dowloading the same thing I have - Power Pack

              One follow up question, is there a way to demo CD Writer first to determine if I want to upgrade? It looks like to do so I will have to install the trial of Reference. To do that should I first uninstall my registered version pf Power Pack?

                Yes, reference trial. Install either way.
