    Question - CD-Writer R-13

Just burned my first CD and it worked great, good job.

What is the numbers that was added to each title (and can i get rid
    of them in future writes)?

Is the latest Lame version 3.96?

    thanks,

No, LAME 3.97 is out, get the r13.1 beta to get it.

Have a look at naming which is setup for the CD, normally it is [artist] - [title] (in CD creation).

          Spoon,

          I looked.
Set mine to just plain "[Title]". Still got those numbers, what are
they and how do i get rid of them?

          thanks for the reply,

The original files added to the disc had those filenames?

Yes, they did (no numbers were present)

example of file names on my HD:

              Maybeline_CB.mp3
              CQBoogie.mp3

as they appeared on the CD:

              Maybeline_CB-########-#####.mp3
              CQBoogie-########-#####

                LtData,

I already have the dMC-R13-Ref-Registered (with Lame 3.97) and the
                CD Writer-Registered-r3 executables.

                thanks,

Looking at the tag information of those files what are their titles?

CD Writer will use the tag information to determine the filename to be created on the MP3 CD.

Looking at the Tag via dBpoweramp Edit Tag function the first line
                    reads as "dbpoweramp: 'Maybeline_CB; ID-Tag"

Under that are just line headings:
                    Artist
                    Title
                    Album
                    Track
                    Year
                    Genre
Comment (all are blank ,no data present except the headings).

                    ITunNORM 0000016B 00000167 000006CB 000006BB 000026E1 000026E1 000035D8 00003588 000026E1 000026E1

MP3Gain lines are populated with alpha-numeric data
Replaygain lines are populated with alpha-numeric data

Which version tags do they use? dMC doesn't support ID3 v2.4.

What program did you use to create the files? Did you re-tag the files with a program like MediaMonkey or foobar2k?

The majority of the files were already MP3's.

I did run them (all files) through the latest version of the dB music
converter (DMC-R13-Ref) to apply the latest version of Lame (3.97)
and then ran through MP3Gain using Album analysys (and apply) and
ENCSpot to insure that the bitrate, lame version, quality, good frames,
                            and input freq was 44.1

Only then did i write them to a CD. The numbers only show on the CD
                            files.

Here is the file name as it appears on the harddrive and on the CD
followed by a full tag description.
