Unfortunately some different CDs go to the same directory

    Hallo,
Unfortunately some different CDs go to the same directory.
I was wondering why 672 CDs of a customer only produce 623 folders.
This is because some CDs were 1/3, 2/3 3/3. And the album name was with all three the same.
But our clients want 1 folder per CD.

Although it is possible to include the disc number in the folder structure, the problem is that the most albums habe CD1, CD2, CD3 already in the name of the album. So I get this information twice in the name.

    For example:
    /Saga/The Works [Disc 2]
    with discnumber in the folder:
    /Saga/The Works [Disc 2] *2

    As there any workaround?
(And perhaps, if there is only one disc, you don't want to see this number)

    We use the structure:
    X:\interpret\album name\01 - titel.flac
    [IFVALUE]album artist,[album artist],[IFCOMP]Various Artists[][IF!COMP][artist][][]\[album]\[track] - [title]

The problem is within the metadata of the databases. For some CDs the number of the disc is included in the album title. Best practice: edit the metadata of those ripped files and then let 'arrange audio' rearrange the files for you.

First, Untick the option in CD Ripper to add CD number to album title. When ripping every CD of a multiCD album should have exactly the same name. But the disk number field should be filled in (1/2, 1/3, etc.)

Then use this string if you want subfolder by Disk underneath single album folder,

      [IFVALUE]album artist,[album artist],[IFCOMP]Various Artists[][IF!COMP][artist][][]\[album]\[IFMULTI] \Disc [disc][]\[track] - [title]

or this if you want one album folder (and no disc subfolders), but want the file names to contain the disk number:

      [IFVALUE]album artist,[album artist],[IFCOMP]Various Artists[][IF!COMP][artist][][]\[album]\[IFMULTI][disc].[track] - [title][][IF!MULTI][track] - [title][]

        Thank you.
        Both solutions are absolutely awesome.
I will check which is the best and fits all customers.
