Changing File Configuration After the Fact

Hi all. I'm new to the forum and dbpoweramp. I'm in the process of ripping my collection of 5,000 CDs to a lossless format using Nimbie USB Plus with Batch Ripper. I'm using a Windows 7-driven PC to rip to an external hard drive.

I made the mistake of ripping a bunch of CDs using the naming configuration of [artist] - [artist]. I would like to actually have the configuration be [artist] - [album]. I know how to change the configuration for future CD rips, but is there a way to change the files I've already ripped so that they will have the [artist] - [album] configuration?

Apologies in advance if this question has already been asked a lot.

As long as you have proper ID tags in those files, you can reorg and rename them afterwards.

Yes, I have the proper tags, but I have no idea how to go about doing that. Would you or someone else be so kind as to show me how?

You can do it with Batch Converter and the additional "Arrange Audio" codec. Or you can download and use mp3tag, a free program, very fast, very powerful.
