CD Ripper Settings Not Carrying Over to Batch Ripper

I recently got a new Windows 11 desktop computer. While I've managed to get the CD ripper (2025-07-21 64-bit) to rip to flac and download metadata, I have not been able to get the Batch Ripper operational. It does not download any metadata before ripping and the rip never finishes encoding to flac but instead never make it past .tmp.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled Batch Ripper with no success. I have also disabled my virus protection software (Bitdefender) with no success.

    Does anyone have any adivce?

If on a popular disc there is no metadata then likely a firewall is blocking. The active providers are set in batch ripper, ensure all checked except GD3 unless have account details.

You can set CD ripper to write direct to the final files, not use .tmp, it is on the options page (you would set through Batch Ripper >> edit the profile >> close CD ripper).

      That worked, thank you!

Can you explain why Batch Ripper wouldn't convert the files from .tmp to .flac even though CD Ripper was able to do this? I'm just curious because I don't recall ever running into this issue on my old Windows 10 machine.

      Thanks again!

Something on your system is locking the files and stopping the rename, it is CD Ripper which runs in the background, exactly the same.

I found that if I had Controlled Folder Access enabled in Windows Defender on Win 11, I would get errors with different software, CD Ripper being one until I allowed it in the settings. This might be a factor in the issue that you reported.
