    Best Current Devices

I recently lost a hard drive on a dedicated Olive Opus which had most of my cds. I realized that a dedicated machine is not the best option in the long term and that brings me to this forum.

It appears I will need to re rip all of my cds (~1000) and am looking for suggestions and confirmation that my method is the best.

I have found dbpoweramp to be recommended as the best win based program and plan on using it. I am assuming that using flac and the default tags in the program should be the proper choices. I plan on storing the music files to a NAS in my system. If I use flac, can I copy / convert files to a local itunes db so that they can be played on Iphone devices?

My main question is, what recommendations would anyone provide for some form of automated disk reader. I see the nimbie referenced in many posts but don't know which model is required / recommended. Are there other devices which would also be recommended?

Any other advice you could provide to stop me from making mistakes in the beginning of the project would also be appreciated.

    Thanks for any input.

The nimbie plus is a good machine, it is the one I recommend.

Rip to flac then create a 2nd library in m4a (aac) or mp3, using batch converter, create the 2nd library in a different location to the flac library.
