    Re: Slow ripping withe win 8 and NB11

    Try to rip via iTunes and Nimbie NB11 and see if it rips slowly on iTunes too.
    Please also go to:

    -> dbpoweramp CD Ripper
    -> Options
    -> Secure Settings
    uncheck "c2 error pointers..."
    leave "8kb transfers" checked
    check if "Set drive Speed" is on "Maximum"
    -> click ok and go back to the options
    check if "ripping speed" is on maximum here
    check if sample offset is on "+667" and give it a try

    if it does not get any better go back to the options and enable the last setting "prevent detection of hidden track".
    And please post your comments, I had this problem too, maybe I can help.

      Hi yamaross,

      Which drive does your Nimbie is equipped with?

      Please try switching the default SPTI to Windows API by following the steps below:

      1. Open dBpoweramp CD Ripper.
      2. Click “CD Drive” section and select Nimbie USB's optical drive.
      3. Click ''Options'' button on the menu bar.
      4. Click “Communication” under “CD ROM” section, then select ''Windows Internal''.
      5. Press “OK'' and close dBpoweramp CD Ripper to save the setting for Batch Ripper.

        Hi Acronova Tech

        By removing all antivirus software I had it ripping faster (was happy ) .
        I tried changing to windows internal to see if it would go faster but went slower than previously reverted to old settings and still runs slow.
        have re started reconfigured drives still really slow
        What to try now ???
