Blank files after ripping

Hey all,

Just trying this out with my sony VGP-XL1B prior to purchase. Got everything operating and ripping, except that every file ripped has no volume or data in the file (well except for over 3 minutes of blank audio). I have tried just about every codec possible, all with the same results. AM I MISSING something here, please give me a DUH moment!

There is something setup wrong, it suggests the CD drive is giving out blank data.

That is why i have been banging my head over the last 10 days! Any suggestion where i should look first?

Try different Rippers, without using autoloading, ie when there is a disc in the drive already.
