    Robotic Driver Win7 Issue

    Hello Spoon,
i have a problem with Brendan's AutoIt Robotic Driver (example Amtren) under Win7 (32bit)
    The Driver does not Work!
Error Message: "Unable to open Comport .."
I have double Checked with the Onboard Comport and a USB / Serial Converter from prolific
    but is all the Same!

The control of the Robotic with the Hyperterminal works without Problems !

The used ULCLI 0,88 in the Driver sends no Error Message with using the Batchripper!!
If you try the latest version 1.0b2 you can see the Error Message

Have you any suggestion to solve the Problem?

Try running batch ripper as administrator (right click on it).

Yes as Admin is right! You have now access to the Comport but the Problem is not solved!

You dont get any error message if you have a Error !
      Examples: Input Bin Empty
The Robotic try and try to load a Disc without limit!

      Unload Error:
The robotic loads the next Disc without a Error Message (the last Disc is still on the Tray!)

The returncode from the driver are not processed.

I have tryed in XP Mode without success (incl Loader Driver)

      Batchripper 1.4 / dBpoweramp Reference R14.2

      Thanks

I think realistically those drivers are for XP only.

          Dear Spoon,
do you have a Robotic for testing self?

Windows XP is now "End of Live" and i think we should find a solution!

          Best Regards
          Bastian

I have 5 robot systems, but non which are controlled by serial port as they have not be sold new for 5 years or more.

              Ok,
you can try it first without a connected Robot.
Install the Amtren Driver set a real Comport and start a Job.
After 30 sec must pop up a Error Message " unable to open Comport x"

If you can see a Error message the Driver works fine without you have the same Problem!

We have never had access to the code for these drivers, they were supplied by a 3rd party 'Brendan' who is no longer around.

                  Hello Spoon,
                  this Case is very curious!

In the last 2 hour i have installed a new naked Win XP SP3 System (on a additional PC) without any additional Software / Driver only with
Batchripper 1.4 / dBpoweramp Reference R14.2 and the Robotic Driver.
The result is exact the same as under Win7

I have running a fine working system with a older Software - i will analyze the Issue!
