some a cd takes too long to rip

We are doing batch ripping and it takes 3 minutes per cd. Now and then one takes 2 or 3 hours. There is one we are ripping at the moment. It says 21 times and yet it has been 20 minutes. We are using a Primera Bravo pro with the db power amp batch ripper. Any one have an idea?

We just started using the batch ripper for the first time yesterday. This is so much faster than the one at a time method we were doing. Is there a user manual or something we can read to get a better understanding of batch ripper?

    Thanks for your help.

    Secure ripping or not?

      Yes, secure ripping.
If I shut everything down and reboot, it goes back to working just great.
Any idea if the problem is with equipment, my computer or one of the programs?

It is likely your drive is switching to PIO mode. In Windows 7 this error of the drive interface will self clear after 30 minutes or so.

          Dear all,
CD-ripping will simply not start for some of my CD:s. Sadly some are real favourites...Tried in burst and secure mode. Any suggestions?
          Sincerely, Thomas

Perhaps the discs are too badly damaged to be even recognized as an audio cd?
