I read somewhere in this forum that although the Batch Ripper app is multi-threaded, it is limited to using four cores. Given this, would the optimum number of drives also be four (assuming a four core'd machine)?
Would more then four drives just mean that they would simply have to wait for a processor to finish with the drive (whether ripping or encoding) before it is serviced anyway so there is a practical limit of four drives?
