I updated my player to release 3 beta 6, but after doing so, my music collection changed to black text on a white background (used to be white on black), and now it's impossible to see what I have highlighted. Is there any way to fix this, or is it a bug in the beta?

Try the settings in this post here:
Apparently when I installed the new release the color.txt file got changed...honest, all I want is the nice blue and white letters in MMC... If someone could post the numbers from the dbpoweramp default color.txt I could just save it and overwrite the other. I have enjoyed seeing many of the creative skins people have put
These settings need to be placed in the file to replace the settings already there.
If you are using more than the default skin, make sure that you are replacing the colors.text file for the default skin. I would encourage you to have MMC off when you replace colors.txt (I doubt that changes would take effect until you close and re-open MMC in any case).
If you change colors.txt in the default skin, this will not be applied to certain other skins which supply their own colors.txt files.
If these tips don't help, please let us know what procedure you are using including what you did with the original contents of colors.txt, the location you where you found and replaced colors.txt and whether the you noted any changes at all after replacing colors.txt.
Best wishes,
