itunes crashes audio player

After installing Itunes that came with my Nano the db player is now failing to work.

When I start the player, music starts, systray icon appears, but the skin fails to appear and then Windows has to close the program.
(Dell 8100/Windows XP Home)

MP3 Icons in the Itunes folder are Itunes, in other folders they are still db's icons. I have tried to re-associate back to db by way of db's program, then the windows way and then I re-installed the db player.

The problem persists! Any suggestions?

Your using the latest beta version, dAP r3b6, I believe? If not, install it, as it includes many bugfixes.
When it crashes, is it trying to play a file?
