    Edit Tag trouble

When I right click on a song in My Music Collection and choose "edit Tak" it takes about 30 seconds for the tag to appear. Is there any way to speed this up? Thanks!

Is this song located on an internal HDD, an external HDD, or a networked drive?
What is the format of the song? How big is it?

It happens with mp3s on my internal drive (C drive) and with files of all sizes. It has been like this since I started using dap about 5 years ago, Any sugegstions would be most appreciated. Thanks!

Are you using dAP r2 or the dAP r3 beta? Link below.

If you have dMC installed, check dMC Configuration (Start --> Programs --> dBpowerAMP Music Converter --> Configuration --> dMC Configuration). It will either say "not installed" or "release 3 beta x". If it says "not installed", you probably have dAP r2.
FYI, the dAP r3 beta is perfectly stable, I've used it for a year or two myself, and so have many others.

            Edit: Moved to dAP Support

I tried to follow your instructions and couldnt find that path in my menu... my DAP/DMC files are all saved in a folder called "illustrate" for reasons I can not remember...anyway, I went ahead & got the r3 beta and installed it, but am still having the same problem. BY THE WAY - a thousand pardons, I realize I posted this in the wrong forum, this should have neem in the dAP fourum.

you can see the version info in the dap menu (on the side written upwards).

anyway what is your PC like? maybe that is the problem... or are you working in some "extreme" tools. also this can happen under WinXp when you are using old programs (with dos background) a system problem when emulating dos it consumes too much processor time...
