I just did a little experimenting and discovered that many media players (WMP, Winamp, Media Player Classic) all upmix stereo audio to play on all the channels of my 5.1 speakers. However, dAP does not do this, at least not with my current settings. Is there someway to enable this?

If the sound card driver does not do this (try directx or waveout, my terratec has a config option to allow this) then currently no, it is down for adding in the next major update.
