    Plays only mono

Speakers are OK, cords are OK, reloaded dppowerAMP exe. programs. Only plays mono. Display shows stereo. Please advise.

    Re: Plays only mono

Have you checked your dAP settings? What is the output set to?

Do other programs play in stereo? e.g. WMP?

What operating system are you using?

      Re: Plays only mono

Do other audio players also only play mono, or do they play stereo?

Wayne -- It is set to DirectX. The balance was to one side. All is OK now.

Many thanks for your help. Frank

Check out dAP options menu (see Start menu) and look at the AMP settings. What is the Output set to? DirectX or Waveout? Is the balance centralised?

Also checked are m3u file and ple file. The option is with "play in daP". I am only using daP and will have to download and try another player. Perhaps the sound card is bad. Many thanks. Frank
You can always play wav, mp3, wma and audio cd's in Windows Media Player which you should have in any case, regardless of your also having dAP installed. Just right click the audio file name and select Open With. Or Start WMP and click File > Open and search for your file in the browser that comes up.

Yes, but he posted the solution as an edit after Wayne and Christina had posted their last entries to the thread.

                Best wishes,
                Bill

                      Glad I could help.

It looks as though he managed to read my post before I posted it
