Hi, people, I have finished the work on my Queen skin, at least for a while...
so download from the skins site or from
here's the ReadMe file for the skin...

QUEEN SKIN README
================================================== ========
================================================== ========
Hello Queen Fans and all of you people who have downloaded the skin Even if you aren't a Queen fan, maybe you should run around the skin to see if there is something interesting.
As you can see this is a tribute to Queen - for me the greatest music group ever. And now Queen is the first group to have it's own dBPowerAmp Skin.
Parts
============
Main skin
most of the controls and activation of the other parts
If you can't see the conrtols move your mouse around. The letters under the logo and the crown in the logo are most of the control buttons, all properly labeled when you hover over them. Volume is both left and right of the logo, position is on the tail of the big Q, while the balance is on the big letters E.
10band EQ
This is the same Eq you will find in the menu. I know it's just 10 bars, but I just didn't have the pecience to put 20 EQ bars, align them, label them etc.
OSC big
activated by OSC1 button- the big version for people with big resolutions.
OSC normal
activeted by OSC2 - I think it will fit on most screens without interfering
Tray player
Shaped like Freddie with the mic. Click on the mic to get to the main window. Besides this there aren't much controls on this one, just a few basics, for the rest as said before go to the main window.
Band vis
click on the Q under the logo - I think you will find it interesting
to move it around drag it by Roger's head (the second from left) it's the only part visuals aren't ocuping.
close it by Esc or clicking on Brian's head (already marked with an X).
Flash
just the logo of Flash Gordon
Hot Space
album cover and you can find the band member names if you aren't already familiar with them
Playlist editor
uses the idea from "The Miracle" back cover.
PrevPlayed window
Cut out a bit to make it appropriate for "Greatest Hits"
MMC
also customized in a fashion similar to Greatest Hits, but also a bit tuned with the main window
Menu
changed almost to the full lenght of methods know up to date, which include the custom shapes of the parts as the newest addition to the knowledge base. Most of the images are changed, and you can see a few Queen images in the background.
Creation
======================
- I started working on it in the beggining of Jully 2004... The main amp you see now is already done, later on I maybe added some buttons and similar stuff, but the basic design didn't change.
The band silhouttes are done too. I think it's an interesting visual don't you?
Tip: to move it around drag it by Roger's head (the second from left) it's the only part visuals aren't ocuping.
- then there was a big pause, no time, and on the other hand the skin comunity was in a pretty much of a crisis, all in all not much inspiration to work.
now it's a year later, already August 2005, and I'm working bits from time to time. Tray is done as Freddie standing.
- September coming. Had some interesting things done.
The playlist is now done in a "The Miracle" back cover style.
Also PrevPlayed is now not so rectangular with "greatest hits".
And the OSC is adapted from Beyond. It's bigger with some more functionality and of course more Queen
Added the "Flash Gordon" logo. Made while playing with some graphics. Don't know what to put on it, but there it is.
Now there is the Hot Space part with names on them.
The big version of the OSC for people with big monitors and huge resolutions.
-ah and the playing with the menu was kinda fun, though it took me some time to decide on the pictures. I know that the shapes are not really sane, but I just had to take advantage of the some freshly discovered methods to make a unique skin
End Notes
======================
Hope you'll have fun, and maybe you'll enjouy some Queen music while using the skin.
Oh and if there are interested skin designers who can't find something about how this skin was made of something, feel free to contact me on the dbpoweramp forum, or the dbpoweramp fan club forum, currently on aussiecomunity.com.au (the link can be found on the db forum), where most of the skin talk is now days.
Or if you preffer by mail that you can find on the webpage.
