My very strong hunch is that your newest version of iTunes has new digital rights management measures added to foil what you achieved through iOpener. Apple has been well-known for its on-going efforts to deter programs such as iOpener, Hymn and iRevolte which attemt to thwart built in digital rights management measures Apple uses to discourage copying of their music files. If you have the option of reverting to your previous version of iTunes, you may want to do so. On the other hand, it may be too late for that.

For a fuller discussion of these issues and your alternatives you may want to review the following threads:

Hymn is no longer updated. Get JHymn to unprotect your songs. JHymn might work if iOpener doesn't.
