The answer is no both ways.

Midi is not an audio format as such, it relies strictly on the soundcard and midi font databank you have to render sound.

To go from an audio file to a midi file it's worse, as the few programs that have attempetd that give very oor results. It's all based on approximation of the sound. Check WIDI from http://widisoft.com/ and Amazing Midi from http://www.pluto.dti.ne.jp/~araki/amazingmidi/ for some programs that attempt to do this.
