    Problem with Skin

    Skin Name: dAP-HK-AMP
Two bars have disappeared off the left side of my screen (therefore, I cannot change my resolution so I can grab it back, and bring it back "onscreen".

I've already tried uninstalling the skin, and re-installing the skin.
I may have to find the registry key, delete it, THEN re-install the skin, but I have NO CLUE how to do that.

If this belongs in a different forum, move it, Spoon.

Thanks, and is it okay to revive a 2 year old thread?

Or is that against the rules?

If the thread is 2 years old and doesn't answer your question, you probably should make a new thread, after you make sure you are using the latest version (or beta).

That thread is 2 years old, and it doesn't answer my question, this topic was meant for that, actually, but I didn't know any previous topics existed.

I'm just saying some of the "bars" have disappeared off the left side of the screen (thus making them impossible to recover.)

Is there any windows-installed programs which will allow me to delete the Registry Key for this skin? I plan on removing that, then the registry key. I've already tried "simple" remove and replace. I'm guessing it has to do with the registry key now. UNLESS there are no other solutions (which I'd like to hear) then, I will have to delete the registry key and start over.

regedit lets you edit the registry. Just be careful, as there is no undo feature.

Best if you create a registry backup using SpyBot Search and Destroy so in case you mess up, you can recover.

Alternately you could just use the export feature build into regedit. Just run regedit, select the top of the registry tree, and go File => Export.

There's no need to install an extra program just to back up the registry.

Have you tried adjusting your resolution?
Right click on a blank spot on your desktop.
                    Select Properties/Settings
It may help you drag whatever you're missing back on screen.

                      I'd suggest a MySQL database as a nifty/fast/awesome alternative! :D
Seriously! I'm just getting into MySQL DBs, but theyre pretty freakin cool so far. And MySQL is OSS (MSSQL can take a flying leap... IMHO :D) I currently use it for keeping track of my CDs, and what music I have on my computer. I still can't get one to run on a Linux box, but the Win version works just fine, and there are a few cool tools that one can use to manage the database(s).

PS: Skin Forum mod(s): Sorry for the off-topicness.
