    Change Icon - how?

I have located the Audio-Icon file and find that mp3s are now meant to be kaleidoscopic silhouettes of Mickey Mouse. How can I change them back to the old faithful guitar? Do I just find a guitar one and overwrite the image or what?

Doesn't work for some reason. I have located the audio-icons file and there isn't a guitar in it! The icon for mp3s is three circles in primary colours - like what was on many of the early colour TVs. I have changed it with the wave icon as it is much less unpleasing to my eye but now all my music looks like a tadpole invasion!

The background in the MMC is also white and the "edit tag" interface is piebald rather than a solid colour. Just some weird hitch in the beta version - I hope - although I suspect that there may be something on my system responsible. I am using Windows XP Service Pack 2.

Hmmm... actually that's done through the associations of the files with dAP - and dAP has the option to have its icon changed to a couple of variants.

I found a folder titled audo-icons which contains about 6 different icons for different types of file. The ghastly tri-circle thingy was assigned to mp3s and, by swapping it with the wave icon, I changed them throughout the computer.

I have now given up anyway and reinstalled r2 which - I was going to say is working fine - has now hung on a change in random play. Just like the problem I came in with. I am still getting a piebald effect in the edit tag interface but the background is black again and now I am off to change the output to DirectX as found elsewhere in the Forum and hope that works.

The first change has gone fine so here's hoping...
