I have located the Audio-Icon file and find that mp3s are now meant to be kaleidoscopic silhouettes of Mickey Mouse. How can I change them back to the old faithful guitar? Do I just find a guitar one and overwrite the image or what?

The background in the MMC is also white and the "edit tag" interface is piebald rather than a solid colour. Just some weird hitch in the beta version - I hope - although I suspect that there may be something on my system responsible. I am using Windows XP Service Pack 2.Comment

Hmmm... actually that's done through the associations of the files with dAP - and dAP has the option to have its icon changed to a couple of variants.Comment

I have now given up anyway and reinstalled r2 which - I was going to say is working fine - has now hung on a change in random play. Just like the problem I came in with. I am still getting a piebald effect in the edit tag interface but the background is black again and now I am off to change the output to DirectX as found elsewhere in the Forum and hope that works.
The first change has gone fine so here's hoping...Comment
