Tagging Wave Files

I have all of my music ripped to my server in wav format. My reasoning is that it provides long term backup. The tracks are stored in a \music\artist\cd title\ format. When I add tracks to My Music Collection I want to be able to use the artist and cd title folder names as an ID in My Music Collection without having to type in all of the information. Is there a way to do this?

Another issue is that I combined two .mmc files and the combine action doesn't work anymore. Is there a way to fix this?

You are best converting to a lossless format (such as Monkeys Audio or FLAC) they can handle ID Tags, then use something like the tag from filename codec.
