installed dBpAmp - now no sound at all in win2k sp4

i installed the trial version, and now i don't get any sound at all on my system. my volume icon on the system tray still shows up, not muted, dbpoweramp also not muted - tried all the sliders. even after unintall, the sound still doesn't work on any application.

the computer mb is an asus a7n8x-e dlx, r2 - the on-board sound is disabled (thru bios) and an ESS Solo sound card is in a PCI slot. i have 2 desktop speakers and a sub connected to the ESS Solo. win2k sp4

How do i get the sound back?

    thanks

soon as i post, i figure it out - for some reason, the wave volume was muted in the mixer controls - this is the windows thing, i didn't install any mfg software. that muted everything. the install must have done it, i was listening to music, then installed, then no noise. i changed nothing. probably install changed it - that or the communists.

    thanks

Did you have dAP muted? I think dAP mutes the wav volume if you mute dap, but i'm not sure.
