    cd player stutters

    Hello all

    dbPA "CD player" finds the CDA files on a burned CD;
    the CDA files are associated with dbPA "CD player";
    but playback is stuttered (interrupts every 0.25 secs or so).

    Windows Media Player 9 plays the tracks on the CD without problem.
    Is there some conflict with WMP causing this ?

    Thanks in advance for any help.

    Re: cd player stutters

    In My Computer, right click your cd drive > properties > hardware > select the drive > properties > is Enable digital cd audio checked? Maybe you should uncheck it.

    WMP keeps that by default but makes no use of it if the device does not support it. Possibly dAP cannot check that or act on that.

    And then again, this may not be it.

      Hello Christina et al

      Thanks for your quick reply !

      Problem solved !
      The stuttering playback I described seems to have solved itself.
      The cause was not the playback stage but the burning stage;
      I reburned to another CD and now playback works perfectly.

      I guess I should have checked that before posting.
      Nonetheless - thanks for your prompt assistance.
      The "enable digital playback" box you mentioned was - and still is - checked.
      So that doesn't seem to affect PowerAmp.
