    Real Alternative

I've been trying to crack down on overused HD space. I therefore want to use Real Alternative instead of Real 8. If I uninstall Real 8 and then install Real Alternative, will this disrupt my already-instaleld real Decoder Codec?

Probably not. But it shouldn't be a big deal to try it and if anything goes funny, reinstall the Real Media codec.

Thanks, but I haven't tracked what all the installer installs

      ..and there's no built-in uninstaller

You uninstall dBpowerAMP from Control Panel > Add/Remove programs and look for all those what mention dBpowerAMP - this goes for programs and codecs.
For Real whatever, well, again you use Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs.
